Sheriff Tom Jones of Grant County related his experience in running for a non-partisan office to the 2011 citizen’s of Evergreen Boys State. He responded to questions from citizens on various issues, including integrity while running a campaign and 2nd Amendment rights.

Tom Jones also informed and discussed the roles of county government, giving realistic perspectives of its role in our state and the State of Evergreen, having been a 1986 delegate himself. Students continued the round of questioning with more specific issues relating to individual areas within Washington State itself, including highway maintenance and immigration reform.
