The Flag of the City of Tamarack

The centerpiece of our flag is the phoenix. It represents rebirth, relating to Tamarack’s history; an EBS city has not been Tamarack for 10 years, and the phoenix’s rebirth represents the return of the name to our State. In the mouth of the phoenix is a Tamarack branch. Its needs are gold, which occurs during a seasonal stage of the Tamarack’s life prior to the shedding of it’s needles. The Tamarack is one of the few coniferous trees that does this, and the gold additionally matches the phoenix’s fiery nature. Additionally, the branch has 23 needles, representing each of the 23 delegates of the city of Tamarack. Finally, the blue shadow at the end of the tail represents both a strong flame and our city color.
